The new book Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter hits shelves this month, and we’re extremely excited to have the author right here in West Linn! Ben Goldfarb researched this story extensively, and we are celebrating this rare opportunity with the author sharing his story about putting this incredible piece together.
We have an excellent activity planned: meet at the library where Ben will begin his presentation at 6:30. Come early to have books signed because after Ben’s introduction and a brief reading we’re going to walk down to Maddax Woods. We’ll show Ben some beautiful natural areas that make the Pacific Northwest and West Linn special, and Ben can tell us about how our habitats compare to other areas he researched for his book! Together we can learn about what makes beaver habitat so special.
When: Tuesday, July 3rd, 6:00pm. Book signings will be available prior to the presentation which will begin at 6:30. We’ll walk down to Maddax Woods at about 6:50 and return at about 7:45. Please note – feel free to opt out of the walk and meet us at the Maddax Woods parking area.
Where: West Linn Library
Who: Anyone and everyone is invited!
