Culverts are water transportation tubes placed for streams, creeks, and rivers going over roads or paths. They are cheaper than building a bridge and strong. When water becomes backed up behind a culvert due to a plugged culvert, the strong force of water can blow out the path or road through which the culvert was inserted. Repairing culverts can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Better to prevent culverts from getting flooded.
